Aunque puede resultar extraño el titular de esta entrada, el hecho fue así, y la Hermandad y Cofradía de Los Estudiantes, que tiene su Sede Canónica en la Parroquia de San Francisco Javier, del conocido barrio ovetense de La Tenderina, fue incluida dentro de la Semana Santa de Sevilla en un artículo publicado en el diario The Guardian que llevaba por título "Holy Week in Seville", y que apareció el 20 de marzo del año 2008.
En la imagen publicada en el diario londinense, realizada por Alberto Morante en la salida procesional del Domingo de Ramos, aparecía uno de los Titulares de la Hermandad de Los Estudiantes, el Santísimo Cristo de la Misericordia, y a su lado el costalero Braulio Fernández. Dicha fotografía estaba acompañada del siguiente texto: A 'costalero' during the Holy Week procession of 'Los Estudiantes' (The Students) brotherhood carries the 'Santísimo Cristo de la Misericordia'. Each church carries an image of Christ, the Virgin, or a scene of the Passion on a 'paso' - a moveable float.

Seville's Semana Santa (Holy Week) celebrations are among the most spectacular in the world, when thousands of hooded penitents parade through the city's winding streets.
Taking place during the week before Easter, it has held an important place in Seville's calender for centuries, with many of the rituals dating back to the 16th century.
It is an occasion of intense religious devotion as well as a fiesta and draws huge crowds, both religious and secular, from all over the world. Some of the solemnity and pageant are captured in these images.
