La Hermandad y Cofradía de Los Estudiantes de Oviedo volvió a aparecer en el medio de comunicación internacional, en este caso la cadena norteamericana NBC NEWS, compartiendo espacio con la Semana Santa de ciudades tan importantes como Sevilla y Málaga, y también, con uno de los actores más famosos de nuestro país, Antonio Bandera, quien además de ser capataz del trono de la Virgen de Lágrimas y Favores, debemos recordar que fue pregonero de la Semana Santa malagueña en el año 2011.
Son dos las instantáneas de Eloy Alonso, en dónde aparecen Los Estudiantes, en la primera dos Damas de Mantilla aparecen charlando antes de que la Estación de Penitencia del Domingo de Ramos del 2013 diera comienzo, y en la segunda imagen, se ve al Santísimo Cristo de la Misericordia, portado por los Caballeros Legionarios.

Christian believers around the world are marking the Holy Week of Easter in celebration of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. On Sunday, hundreds of processions were held in towns and cities across Spain.
In his Palm Sunday service at the Vatican, Pope Francis appealed to the crowd to shun corruption and reach out to "the humble, the poor, the forgotten."
